GOODWILL MESSAGE TO THE NBA MAKURDI BRANCH ON ITS 2026 LAW WEEK
I am pleased to extend my warmest goodwill to the Chairman, Executive Committee, and all distinguished members of the NBA Makurdi Branch on the occasion of your 2026 Law Week.
Your theme, “The Legal Profession: Embracing the Future,” is both timely and necessary. It speaks to the urgent need for us, as members of the Bar, to remain relevant, responsive, and forward looking in a rapidly evolving world.
To embrace the future is to act deliberately in the present. The legal profession is being reshaped by technology, changing client expectations, and the emergence of new areas of practice.
This moment demands that we go beyond traditional methods and equip ourselves with the skills, tools, and mindset required to deliver real value.
I commend the Makurdi Branch for placing this important conversation at the centre of your Law Week. It is my hope that the discussions will inspire practical action and fresh perspectives to building a profession that is not only future ready but truly impactful.
