*Paid physical attendees get one lunch daily for three days
Delegates attending the 66th Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association in Port Harcourt who intend to access conference meals have been advised to generate their digital meal tickets through the official NBA AGC portal.
According to information displayed on the conference website, every paid physical attendee is entitled to one lunch per day for three days, but delegates are required to retrieve their meal tickets electronically before proceeding to the designated food stations.
To obtain the tickets, lawyers are required to enter their Supreme Court Number (SCN) used during conference registration, while newly called lawyers who do not yet have an SCN are to use their EXM number.
Once the relevant number is entered, delegates can click “Generate My Meal Tickets” to retrieve all three meal tickets at once.
The digital tickets come with QR codes, which are to be presented at the food station for verification before meals are collected.
The conference platform describes the system as “fast, paperless and secure,” with the tickets designed to be QR-verified and tamper-proof.
Delegates also have the option of saving the meal tickets to their phones or printing them, enabling them to present the QR code at the point of meal collection.
The platform states: “Every paid physical attendee is entitled to lunch on Days 1, 2 & 3. Enter your SCN (lawyers) or EXM number (new wigs) to retrieve all 3 tickets at once.”
The digital meal-ticket arrangement means that delegates who want to collect their conference lunch should ensure they generate their tickets ahead of time rather than arriving at the food station without the required QR code.
The meal-ticket portal is available through the official NBA AGC website at agc.nigerianbar.org.ng/agc/meal/.
With thousands of lawyers attending the conference, the electronic system is expected to assist organisers in managing meal distribution, reducing paper tickets and ensuring that meals are collected by registered and eligible conference participants.
