Muslim faithful across Nigeria and the world celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, I warmly felicitate with our distinguished Muslim colleagues and all members of the legal profession on this sacred and deeply significant occasion.

Eid-el-Kabir commemorates the extraordinary faith of Prophet Ibrahim and his willingness to sacrifice that which was most precious to him in absolute obedience to the will of God. It is a timeless lesson in sacrifice, selflessness, compassion, and devotion to higher ideals.

For us as lawyers and members of one professional family, the season is a solemn reminder that the true strength of the Bar lies not only in advocacy and learning, but in our humanity towards one another. We must continue to cultivate a profession where senior and junior lawyers alike look out for each other, support one another, and share in each other’s burdens and aspirations.

At a time when many colleagues face economic and professional challenges, Eid-el-Kabir calls us to revive the spirit of sacrifice by extending kindness, mentorship, opportunities, and welfare support to those around us. The legal profession will become stronger and more respected when we deliberately build a culture of compassion, inclusion, and shared progress.

I therefore urge us all, dear colleagues, to use this occasion to deepen the bonds of unity, peace, and brotherhood within the profession and across our nation. Let us reject division, bitterness, and unhealthy rivalry, and instead embrace cooperation, empathy, and collective advancement.

May the blessings of Eid-el-Kabir bring peace to our nation, progress to our profession, and renewed hope and prosperity to every legal practitioner and their families.
