The Nigerian Law School has announced the commencement of applications for the 2026 Bar Part I Programme, with the admission portal scheduled to open on Monday, May 25, 2026.

According to a notice issued by the institution, the application process will close on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, while the programme itself is expected to commence on Monday, July 27, 2026, at the Nigerian Law School Headquarters in Bwari.

The notice signed by Aderonke O. Osho, Secretary to Council and Director of Administration of the Nigerian Law School, stated that the programme is strictly open to Nigerian graduates of Law from Common Law countries whose law degrees have been approved by the Council of Legal Education.

The institution, however, clarified that degrees obtained through part-time studies, Open University systems, long-distance learning, or online modes of study will not be recognised for admission into the programme.

Prospective applicants were advised to complete their applications through the official Nigerian Law School website at Nigerian Law School Website and submit the completed forms to barpartone2026@nigerianlawschool.edu.ng on or before the application deadline.

In addition, applicants are required to ensure that their academic transcripts, alongside completed Forms B, B1, and B2, are forwarded directly from the official email addresses of their universities and employers, where applicable, to reference@nigerianlawschool.edu.ng not later than Friday, July 17, 2026.

APPLICATION FOR 2026 BAR PART I PROGRAMME

All intending applicants for admission into the 2026 Bar Part I Course are by this notice informed that the application process will open on Monday, 25 May, 2026 and close on Tuesday, 30 June, 2026.

The Programme will commence on Monday, 27 July, 2026 at the Headquarters in Bwari, Abuja.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

The Programme is open to only Nigerian graduates of Law from Common Law Countries whose Law courses are approved by the Council of Legal Education. Degrees_obtained through part-time study, Open University, Long Distance Learning or online modes_of study are not recognized for admission to the Programme.

METHOD OF APPLICATION:

Prospective applicants are to visit the Nigerian Law School website www.nigerianlawschool.edu.ng. Complete the application form and forward to, barpartone2026@nigerianlawschool.edu.ng. On or before Tuesday, 30 June, 2026.

Applicant’s academic transcript and completed Forms B, Bl and B2 must be forwarded from the official email address of their University and Employer (if applicable) to reference@nigerianlawschool.edu.ng on or before Friday, 17 July, 2026.

The subject of all emails should be the applicant’s name and application number.

All application documents must be received within the stipulated time, as the School will not entertain late submission of documents.

Applicants are to note their Application Numbers for access to their admission status subsequently, please.
