The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has called on Nigerians to take God’s word as a “Divine insurance policy” that guarantees comprehensive protection.

Speaking at the RCCG Headquarters, Ebute Metta, Lagos during a Thanksgiving Service, which had in attendance stakeholders in the transport sector, Adeboye explained that while human insurance policies such as health, property and life insurance have limits and exclusions, God’s insurance has no loopholes and covers every area of life.

Adeboye, who cited the Scriptures that says, “Anyone who is dwelling in the secret place of the King of Glory abides under the shadow of the Almighty.”

He noted that the reference represents God’s promise of safety, healing and deliverance.

“Unlike health insurance which only comes into effect after sickness strikes, God’s plan prevents sickness altogether. According to the infallible Word of God, Christ had already paid the premium for man’s healing through His sacrifice and goes further to confirm God as both insurer and physician. God does not only insure, He is also the perfect doctor,” he said.

On property and life insurance, Adeboye assured Nigerians that God guarantees provision, protection from loss and lifelong care that extends to their children. He added that even disasters often classified as “acts of God” by insurance companies are fully covered under His plan for divine protection.

The cleric also shared testimonies, including divine preservation during natural disasters and protection throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, to illustrate God’s unfailing coverage.

He, however, warned that divine insurance is conditional, explaining that Nigerians must remain under God’s cover through obedience, righteousness and avoidance of sin.

According to him, obedience is the “premium” required to activate and sustain God’s promises.

The Personal Assistant to the General Overseer (Administration), who doubles as the Pastor, Region 1 (RCCG), Dele Balogun, stated that divine insurance is placing oneself and the nation under God’s protection through obedience and righteous living, unlike limited human insurance.

He urged Nigerians to return to God, reject sin, and do His will. He explained that prayer and fasting humble the flesh and move stubborn problems, bringing divine intervention to individuals and the nation.
