A former Chairman of the Lagos Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association and aspirant for the Presidency in the forth coming Election of the association, Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe SAN, has emphasised the need to prioritise the welfare of legal practitioners, describing it as fundamental to the growth and sustainability of the profession.
Akangbe made this known during his visit to the Awka Branch of the NBA, where he attended the branch’s monthly meeting and interacted with members.
“I had the honour of attending the NBA Awka Branch monthly meeting, and I must say the hospitality, acceptance, and genuine love I received were truly overwhelming.
“Interacting with colleagues in Awka was deeply inspiring. I spoke about the issues that truly matter to us as a profession, especially the welfare of Nigerian lawyers, which remains paramount and non negotiable.
“As an aspirant for the office of President of the Nigerian Bar Association, I am even more convinced that our Bar deserves leadership that listens, connects, and is committed to real progress.
“Thank you, Awka Branch, for the warmth, the trust, and the remarkable show of support. Together, we will build a Bar that truly works for all.”
