Court fixes April 22 for EFAB CEO’s forgery arraignment

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court has scheduled April 22 for the arraignment of Fabian Nwaora, Chief Executive Officer of EFAB Properties Limited, on seven counts of forgery.

Justice Aliyu Shafa set the date after confirming that Nwaora had been properly served with the charges against him.

During Monday’s proceedings, prosecution counsel Mr. Wisdom Madaki noted Nwaora’s absence, explaining that the case was slated for his arraignment. Defence lawyer Mr. Ezekiel Egbo stated that Nwaora could not attend because he had traveled out of town before the legal documents were delivered to his secretary.

According to the police charge (FHC/HC/CR/748/2025), Nwaora allegedly forged International Passport No. A01646675 in the name of Kenneth Chinedu Ogbogu, purportedly issued by the Nigeria Immigration Service on April 5, 2024.

The police further claim that he used the forged passport as genuine, altered a certificate of incorporation for Ke Keneco Investment Ltd (registration No. 619680), forged company letterhead, and created a fraudulent National Identity Number (NIN) from the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).

The offences are said to contravene sections 362, 364, and 366 of the Penal Code. Some specific charges include:

Forging an international passport in the name of Kenneth Chinedu Ogbogu.

Using the forged passport as genuine.

Altering the certificate of incorporation for Ke Keneco Investment Ltd.

If convicted, Nwaora could face penalties under the applicable sections of the Penal Code.
