ALSN host 3-day Maritime Security and Blue Economy Course in Uyo

The Admiralty Lawyers’ Society of Nigeria (ALSN) has announced plans to host a three-day course on Maritime Security, Maritime Safety and the Blue Economy, scheduled to hold from March 18 to 20, 2026.

The programme, which will commence at 9:00 a.m. daily, will take place at Rhocharls Hotels and Suites Ltd, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. It will also feature a guided tour to ports and terminal operators as part of its practical learning component.

The course is designed to deepen participants’ understanding of critical maritime law and governance issues, while equipping practitioners with practical insights into industry operations.

The training will cover key areas including salvage, pilotage, maritime safety and security, arrest and release of ships, bills of lading and international conventions, charter parties, the Blue Economy Index, and ocean governance, among other topics.

The event will feature a distinguished faculty of experts and industry leaders, including Hon. Justice Ifiok Ukana (Rtd), Prof. Lucky Iribhogbe Warioka, Prof. S.C. Dike, Dr. Kingsley Ekwere, Abayomi Akindele, and Angus Obinna Chukwuka.

Course fees are fixed at ₦25,000 for post-call lawyers and private practitioners, while virtual participation is available at ₦20,000.
