The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested a sales representative of Prince OJ Global Services Limited over allegations of financial misconduct involving the diversion of company funds.

The suspect is accused of diverting ₦70,030,450 while carrying out official duties, with investigators alleging that part of the funds was used to purchase a parcel of land.

The development was disclosed in a statement issued by the EFCC on Monday. The anti-graft agency said the sales representative was arrested alongside a Point of Sale (POS) operator, identified as Ibekwe Izuchukwu Emmanuel and Miracle Onyekachi Nnaji, respectively.

According to the EFCC, the company petitioned the commission after discovering that millions of naira were unaccounted for, with the alleged diversion dating back to 2023.

“Internal investigations by an external auditor engaged by the company revealed that the sales representative allegedly diverted the funds for personal use,” the statement said.

The EFCC added that its own investigations indicated that Emmanuel allegedly conspired with the POS operator, Nnaji, who reportedly provided his POS account details to facilitate the diversion of the company’s funds.

“Further discreet investigations showed that Emmanuel allegedly connived with the POS operator, who supplied his POS account details through which the funds were diverted,” the agency stated.

During interrogation, the EFCC said Emmanuel confessed to using part of the money to purchase a plot of land in Enugu State.

“I have, however, refunded about ₦15,000,000 sometime in the middle of 2025 when my boss engaged an external auditor and uncovered the missing transactions in my sales records,” the suspect was quoted as saying.

The EFCC said both suspects will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
