That the committee was directed to investigate the matter during plenary on Tuesday.
The matter, according to the Speaker, Adebowale Ogundoyin, is to be investigated within one week.Shittu has been having a running battle with his colleagues who are majorly members of the PDP.
Shittu had last year accused the House of approving loan for Governor Seyi Makinde in a controversial manner.
Adedoyin while speaking on Tuesday said Shittu accused him of collecting bribe from a local government chairman in the state.
He said that the APC lawmaker accused him wrongly and appealed to his colleagues to take action on the matter.
Adedoyin said, “In that speech, I was falsely accused of offering and receiving bribes from the Chairman of Saki West Local Government to influence or alter the course of an investigation into allegations against him.”
The Speaker, Ogundoyin, cautioned his colleagues against making false allegations.
He then directed the House Committee on Ethics and Privileges to conduct a thorough investigation into the allegation and report its findings within one week.
