The Lagos Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Architects wants to strengthen collaboration with the government as the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Obafemi Hamzat, will deliver the keynote address at the institute’s 40th anniversary lecture.

According to the institute, in a release, the theme of the anniversary “40 Years and Rejuvenating” aims to raise awareness among Nigerians about the significant contributions of the architectural profession to the nation.

It noted that the keynote lecture would highlight the vital role of collaboration between the government and the architectural community in shaping the future of Lagos State.

The statement added that Obafemi Hamzat’s address was expected to provide valuable insights into the collaborative efforts between the government and the architectural community, aimed at revitalising Lagos State’s architectural landscape, ensuring sustainable development and growth.

The Chairman of the Lagos Chapter of NIA, David Majekodunmi, said.

“All the activities in the 40th anniversary lineup underscore the Nigerian Institute of Architects, Lagos Chapter’s unwavering commitment to promoting excellence in architectural practice, education, and development for four decades.”
