Alajue Community: Group begs Osun Gov to install king

A group under the aegis of Alajue Stakeholders Forum has urged Governor Adegboyega Oyetola to install the rightful king for Alajue town in the Ede South Local Government Area of Osun State.

The group, in a statement on Wednesday, said the town had been without a king for six years since the passage of the last king that came from the Molabi ruling family.

The statement was signed by the group’s President, Yemi Akande, and Secretary, Yinka Adigun.

“From the days of our forefathers, we grew up to understand that we only have two ruling houses; the Alajue Ruling House and Molabi Ruling House. And since the death of our king from Molabi ruling house, it is Alajue ruling family that has the right to produce the next king.

“The Molabi ruling house which has gone to court to obtain a restraining court order since 2015 to prevent a representative of Alajue from being installed as a king is a bad omen for our community,” the statement partly reads.

It urged Oyetola to intervene with a view of installing the right monarch for the town.
