The Lagos State Judicial Panel Of Inquiry on activities of the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) and police brutality has released the Rules that will guide its proceedings

A copy made available to ASKLEGALPALACE shows that Rules are made pursuant to section 4 of the Judicial Panel Of Inquiry Law of Lagos State.

By Rule 1 of the Rules, the persons eligible to lodge complaints are victims of SARS and other Police abuse within Lagos State or family member of such victim if the victim is dead. NBA and other public interest bodies can also lodge complaints with the panel.

Order 2 provides that complaints may be lodged before the panel in person or via email or phone call.
