Lagos govt seals Agege, Medville health facilities

The Lagos State Government has sealed two health facilities for non-compliance with regulatory standards.

The facilities are Agege Central Hospital, located at No. 110, Old Ogba Central Mosque Road in the Agege area of the state; and Medville Global Health Center at 1, Alhaji Bashim Olaide Street, Ago Palace Way in the Okota area of the state.

This was during a monitoring and inspection exercise carried out in the Agege and Isolo local government areas of the state by the Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency.

Briefing newsmen after the exercise, the Executive Secretary, HEFAMAA, Abiola Idowu, said, “All health care facilities in the state are required by the Health Sector Reform Law of 2006 to register with the agency before commencing operations. The existing ones are to renew their registration annually or else be sanctioned accordingly.”
