Heads of Probate Registry across States in Nigeria are introducing innovative changes aimed at ease of doing business.
How does it impact on practitioners and service users? There are views that new laws or amendment of existing laws are required to deepen and drive further innovations and user-friendly probate administration in States across Nigeria.
Other challenges appear to include human resources, effective feedback loop and, near absence of a body of Inheritance taxes in Nigeria in addition to paltry sums as benchmarks for small estates categorizations as well as restrictive classification of personal estate.
Private sector-led technology companies are also driving e-will services that may deepen and further ease probate administration and procedures. So, how much pro-active recommendations and technology-driven innovations can State Governments absorb?
We request that you become part of our Stakeholders that will discuss the today and tomorrow of probate administration in Nigeria, practices and procedures as well as to contribute to policy recommendations to the Heads of Probate Registries.
