Chairman of the NBA Technical committee on conference planning, Tobenna Erojikwe, has demanded the sum of 1 Billion Naira from an Abuja-based legal practitioner, Maxwell Opara for an alleged libelous comment made on the Open Initiative WhatsApp group.

In a letter of Demand franked by Templars law firm and signed by Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Godwin Omoaka, the firm alleged that Mr. Opara had accused Erojikwe of enriching himself from the coffers of the NBA through committee membership; and action which according to the demand letter was alleged to have been allegedly sanctioned by the NBA President, Olumide Akpata.
