Two murder suspects sexually assaulted dying woman in Delta

Two murder suspects, Chukwudi Sunday and Onyebuchi Paul, were yesterday paraded by the police in Asaba, Delta State, for allegedly strangling their madam and raping her while she was dying in Amai community in Ndokwa West Local Council.

The suspects confirmed while fielding questions from newsmen, that they also strangled her husband, Isaac Odubu to death with one of their gang members, Ifeanyi Enuma, to pave way for them to rape the woman one after the other, unchallenged.

The State Police commissioner, Ari Mohammed Alli, who paraded the suspects along with others for various crimes, said the police got wind of the incident and swiftly swung into action, which led to the arrest of the suspects.

The police boss said the three suspects: Chukwudi Sunday, Onyebuchi Paul, Ifeanyi Enuma, were working for the couple, but decided to go into the business of internet fraud.

“In their quest for money to buy phones and data, they stormed the couple’s house at night to rob them.

“During the process, they killed the couple, two of the suspects, Chukwudi Sunday and Onyebuchi Paul raped the wife, before she finally gave up the ghost.

“ The suspects will be charged to court for prosecution upon completion of investigation,” the CP said. ALSO, 62 suspected cultists who were arrested with two locally made gun, were paraded by the commissioner.

“The Command received a tip off, that some suspected Eiye Confraternity Cult group will be marking their anniversary in Ogwashi-Uku, and we swiftly acted on this information and located where and when the ceremony will be held.

“A combined team of the Command’s Buffalo Patrol team and operatives from Area Command Ogwashi-Uku, stormed the venue at Big Apple Hotel in Ogwashi-Uku and 51 suspected cultists were arrested, two cut-to-size locally made guns, one expended cartridge, Eiye Confraternity regalia were recovered.

“Similarly, eleven suspects belonging to supreme Vikings confraternity were also arrested in Sapele and the case has been charged to court,” he added.
