In Nigeria, it is an offence to store or sell any petroleum product in excess of 500 litres without the licence of the Minister of Petroleum Resources.

PENALTY •Imprisonment for life; • fine of N2,000; • forfeiture of Petroleum Product and vehicle used in conveying the product.
