File: A picture taken on June 13, 2017 shows fishing boats tied down on the riverbanks of the Bodo River devastated by oil spills in Bodo, in the Gokana district of Ogoniland, southeast Nigeria.
The Movement for the Survival of Ogoni People in the United States of America has said insisted that there would be no resumption of oil exploration in Ogoni land without a scientific evidence of proper clean-up.
Also, they call for the sacking of the acting project coordinator, Hydrocarbon Pollution and Remediation Project, Prof. Phillip Shekwolo.
This was contained in a communique issued at the end of a conference, under the aegis of MOSOP-USA and the 26th anniversary commemoration of the judicial murder of Ken Saro-Wiwa and eight other Ogoni activists, by Ogoni indigenes resident in the United States, held in Houston, Texas.
The communique was signed by Augustine Kpuinen and LediBari Yorka, President of MOSOP-USA and former chairman, MOSOP-USA Caretaker Committee, respectively.
