HURIDAC to deploy Lagos anti-corruption researchers in 20 LGAs

THE Human Rights Advancement, Development and Advocacy Centre on Monday organised a one-day anti-corruption training for its field researchers to be deployed in the 20 local government areas of Lagos State.

HURIDAC said the field researchers would to measure residents’s perception of corruption.

The Executive Director, HURIDAC, Mr Ayodele Ameen, who was represented by Mr John Ushie, at the event in Ojodu, Lagos, said, “The field researchers will be deployed in the councils in the next few days and are expected to carry out the research on the perception of Lagosians with regards to issues of corruption and its effect on the society.”

Ameen noted that the training would equip field researchers with information-gathering tools on anti-corruption in the state.

“We have in attendance facilitators and trainers who trained the field researchers in the rudiments of gathering information on anti-corruption index from Lagosians,” he added.

One of the field researchers, Olatunde Ajao, said, “I have become more aware of the debilitation effects of corruption in society. I will take this to field to create awareness on dangers of corruption.”
