Names Bode Olanipekun [SAN] As Chair

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Lagos Branch, has released the names and details of New Wigs Induction & Placement Committee Members

A Notice made available to ASKLEGALPALACE shows that Dr. Bode Olanipekun SAN shall serve as the Chairman of the Committee while Dr. Nasiru Tijani shall serve as Alternate Chairman. Ifeoma Solanke shall serve as Secretary.

Seventeen other members of the Committee are Dr. K.U.K. Ekwueme, Femi Fajolu, Sylvester Udemezue, Tobi Adebowale, Elizabeth Udosen, Kenneth Kelle, Layo Olugbemi, Patience Obiabgaoso, Chinedu Kema, Ngozi Efobi, Onyindamilola Chinelo Fasakin, and Faruq Opeyemi.

Others are Olamipo Akinsulire-Jinadu, Dan Whisky, Christian Aniukwu, Ikechukwu Uwanna and Nta Ekpiken

The terms of reference of the Committee is to organize induction and placement programs to familiarize lawyers just called to the Nigerian Bar (new wigs) and have relocated to Lagos upon completion of the compulsory National Youth Service (where applicable) with the activities of the Branch, and law firms, and related organizations within Lagos.

Furthermore, they are to develop and maintain a comprehensive list of members of the Branch who are new wigs or just relocated to Lagos upon a call to the Nigerian Bar or completion of the compulsory National Youth Service.

Other terms are as follows:

1. To liaise with and continuously maintain a list of law firms and other organizations within the area of competence of the Branch to seek out vacancies and other opportunities available to new wigs and lawyers that have relocated to Lagos upon completion of the compulsory National Youth Service.

2. To guide the new wigs in maximizing the opportunities available to them; and

3. To carry out any other functions that are incidental to the functions above or as may be assigned to it by the Chairman or the Executive Committee.
