Young Tech Innovator Hub Wins Five Thousand Dollars At NBA-SBL 15th Annual Business Law Conference

The Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law 15th Annual Business Law Conference was held on the 14th-15th of July 2021 with the theme “Re-tooling Business for Change: Leveraging on the Tech Explosion”. As part of the attraction of the Conference, the Section introduced the Innovation Hub; an App Challenge premised on the need to strongly support innovators and entrepreneurs in the quest to develop technological solutions that can potentially accelerate sustainable economic and social growth in Nigeria’s emerging digital economy.

The Innovation Hub, as the second plenary session on day two of the Conference, had Assessors review the shortlisted innovative ideas developed by the innovators. Participants at the Conference were also able to vote for their preferred innovations via the Conferencing app.

The Shortlisted innovations in the competition were the following:

Aider represented by Isaac Sonto.

Anywork? represented by Obianjulu Umeh

BusinessBrace 360 represented by Busayo Durojaiye

Digihealth represented by Emmanuel Bala Musa

Galilee Tech represented by Vicar Oguafor

Priplug represented by Gbenga Odugbemi

SEALEDAPP represented by Rosemond Phil-Othihiwa

UMSCOPE represented by Gbolahan

Xcrowme represented by Oluwaseyi Akinlolu

From the shortlisted innovators the winners were:

The 4th prize went to Digihealth represented by Emmanuel Bala Musa and received 1000 dollars.

The 3rd prize went to UMSCOPE represented by Gbolahan and received 1500 and one year free legal support

The 2nd prize went to SEALEDAPP represented by Rosemond Phil-Othihiwa and received 2500 dollars and free legal Support for one year

The 1st prize went to Aider represented by Isaac Sonto and received 5000 dollars with free legal support for one year.
