Justice Adenike Akinpelu of the Kwara State High Court, Ilorin, has pronounced a corps member, Oyeyemi Caleb, guilty of sex scam.
Consequently, the court sentenced him to one-year imprisonment on each of the counts, to run concurrently. The judge, however, gave him an option of N200, 000 fine on each count.
Caleb, who is serving in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, was charged on two counts of sex scam by the Ilorin zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Oyeyemi, 21, a native of Odo-Owa in Oke-Ero Local Government Area of Kwara State, was arrested on March 16, 2020 by EFCC operatives based on intelligence reports.
