Arbitration proceedings can be demanding and tasking and usually require the services of a registrar to handle administrative and organizational duties.
The secretary acts as a technical assistant to the tribunal, but has no independent decision-making power.
The role of an arbitral Secretary is mainly to manage the case which includes drafting processes, handling organizational issues and conducting legal research and performing any other delegated task.

The duty of an arbitral registrar starts from the preliminary meetings to the proceedings and post-proceedings. This training will expose participants to the roles and duties of an arbitral secretary and the limits of their powers.
