The National Assembly, the Senate have rebuked the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, for withdrawing security details attached to Mr. Willie Obiano, Governor of Anambra State.
Some members of the senate took turns to lambast the Inspector General of Police for the un-meritorious decision and claiming that the security men were withdrawn to allow a level playing field for all contestants in the forthcoming Nov. 18 governorship election in Anambra State.
Some of the lawmakers further urged the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Police Affairs to ensure that Governor Willie Obiano’s security aides were reinstated on or before Nov. 16.
