The Comptroller of the Nigeria Prisons, Edo Command, Mr. Amadin Osayande, has tasked its 176 newly promoted officers on selfless service.
Speaking in Benin City, he said: “The newly promoted staff should not see their promotion as earning more money but a call to duty. The promotion is for them to be more committed and dedicated to their job and to bring out the best in them. Those who were not promoted should have faith that they will also be promoted.”
One of the newly promoted officer, Mr Frankly Ezomo, pledged his dedication to serve the command, said he had spent eight years as superintendent before his elevation as chief superintendent.
