The Lagos State police command has warned politicians against pasting posters at odd hours. Lagos police spokesman, Chike Oti, who made the disclosure, warned political actors to adhere to the instruction.

“The office of the Commissioner of Police is inundated with complaints of indiscriminate removal/destruction of campaign posters/billboards of political parties/aspirants by unknown persons. It was alleged that those involved in this act usually operates at odd hours, particularly between 1:00a.m. and 4:00a.m. The trend, if not reversed, may lead to breakdown of law and order with its attendant consequences.

“Thus, police authorities after due consultation with relevant stakeholders, hereby warn that pasting of campaign posters/billboards and other advertisements should be done during the day between the hours of 6:00a.m. and 6:00p.m. only.”
