— Directive Does Not Apply To Magistrates Posted To JIC Taylor Igbosere

The Lagos State Judiciary has directed all its magistrates from grade level 10 and above to resume their official duties from Wednesday, 24th March, 2021.

The directive which made by the Deputy Chief Registrar [Admin] of the court, Mrs. Omolade Awope, via a circular dated the 22nd day of March, 2021.

The circular however noted that Magistrates posted to the JIC Taylor Magistrate Court, Igbosere, are to await further directives, thus, are not to resume as all other Magistrates.

Recall that the Lagos State Judiciary in conjunction with the state government had declared a ‘work from home’ for all government workers below grade 10, in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, in a bid to check the rapid spread of the virus.

However, with the reduction of cases, and the availability of vaccines, the Chief Judge has recalled all staff from 10 and above.
