The Council of Legal Education has issued a public notice announcing the release of the 2025/2026 Bar Part II Academic Calendar for the Nigerian Law School.
The notice signed by the Director-General of the Nigerian Law School, Olugbemisola Titilayomi Odusote applies to all campuses Abuja, Lagos, Enugu, Kano, Yola, and Yenagoa and outlines a structured academic schedule covering registration, lectures, externships, assessments, examinations, and post-Bar activities for the session.
According to the schedule, registration, induction, and mock trials will commence from March 2 to Friday, March 13, 2026, with lectures beginning on Monday, March 16, 2026. The First Term will feature key activities including the Director-General’s Address, scheduled for April 14, 2026, and the Pre-Externship Workshop slated for May 14, 2026.
The Second Term will begin with pre-externship vacation on May 15, 2026, followed by court externship from May 18 to June 19, 2026, and chambers externship from June 29 to July 31, 2026. A post-externship vacation is fixed for August 3 to August 7, 2026.
Under the Third Term schedule, portfolio assessment will hold from August 10 to August 21, 2026, while lectures will run from August 31 to October 9, 2026. Mooting activities, mock trials, and registry practice exercises are also incorporated into the term’s programme.
Revision week is slated for October 26 to October 30, 2026, with the Bar Final Examinations scheduled to take place from October 31 to November 7, 2026. Post-Bar Final Examination activities will run from November 9 to December 18, 2026.
The notice further indicates that the dates for the publication of results and the Call to the Bar ceremony will be announced in due course.
