NBA President, Osigwe, mourns IG, Haruna’s demise

The President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mr Afam Osigwe, (SAN) has paid a condolence visit to the family of late Alhaji Ibrahim Gbedako Haruna of the Gwagwalada Branch of the Bar, who answered the call of his creator recently.

During the visit to the family of the deceased erudite legal practitioner, the NBA leader described him as a consummate Bar man of immense worth and integrity whose many good legacies of love, humility and diligence coupled with the true fear of Allah which he stood for while alive would for a long time remain fresh and evergreen in the minds of the people whose life he has touched positively in different ways.

According to Mr Osigwe, the late Alh.Haruna would also continue to be very well remembered for his unequal humility and dedication to the cause of humanity which he again, noted will for a long time continue to remain one of his good reference points.

The NBA President was earlier on arrival received at the Secretariat of the branch, situated in Sharia Court of Appeal Complex along Dukpa Road, Gwagwalada, at about 1:25pm by the Chairman of the branch, Clever N. Oworh.

Thereafter the NBA boss and his entourage alongside members of the Eagle Bar went to late Alh. I.G. Haruna’s house, where special prayers were held for the repose of his gentle soul.

Prominent among the Branch leaders who welcomed the President to Gwagwalada branch were some former Chairmen of the branch, Abdulwahab Mohammed, Chief Ifeanyi Anugom and Isah Abubakar, Esq while Muhammed Ashara, Esq received the entourage on behalf of the deceased family.

Others were Chief S. M. Attah, Elder Usman Awachi and Elder Sosanwo just as Justice I.A Shafa of the FCT High Court and Justice Sa’ad Abdullah of the Shariah Court of Appeal of the FCT were also in attendance at the deceased house.
