The Nigerian Bar Association Eket Branch has honoured Chief Emeka Ozoani SAN with an Outstanding Service Award in recognition of his contributions to the legal profession in Nigeria.
The delegation from the branch travelled from Eket in Akwa Ibom State to Lagos, presented the award during a visit marked by commendations for Ozoani’s commitment to the advancement of the Bar and the welfare of legal practitioners across the country.
Speaking during the presentation, members of the delegation noted that the award was a reflection of Ozoani’s consistent dedication, leadership, and impactful service within the legal community. They emphasized that his contributions have inspired many young lawyers and strengthened professional standards within the Bar.
In his response, Chief Ozoani expressed deep appreciation for the gesture, describing it as both humbling and encouraging. He noted that the recognition was not only personal but symbolic of the shared commitment of legal practitioners to uphold the integrity and progress of the profession.
“I am deeply honoured by this recognition,” he said. “For my colleagues to travel such a distance to present this award speaks volumes, and I do not take it for granted.”
He further pledged to continue contributing, “in my little way,” to the growth of the legal profession, particularly in advancing the welfare of Nigerian lawyers, by the grace of God.
