The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) wishes to remind all legal practitioners of the importance of paying their Bar Practice Fee (BPF) for the 2026 Legal Year. All lawyers are encouraged to complete their payment promptly to remain in good standing with the Bar and to continue to enjoy the privileges and benefits associated with membership.
Benefits of Paying the Bar Practice Fee (BPF)
Payment of the Bar Practice Fee (BPF) entitles members to several important benefits, including:
• A valid licence to practice law
• Eligibility for appointment as a Notary Public
• Qualification for elevation to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN)
• Consideration for judicial appointments
• Participation in NBA activities at both the National and Branch levels
• Access to finance schemes
• Life insurance cover and other welfare packages
Schedule of Bar Practice Fees – 2026 Legal Year
• 1 – 4 Years Post Call: ₦5,000
• 5 – 9 Years Post Call: ₦10,000
• 10 – 14 Years Post Call: ₦17,500
• 15 Years and Above Post Call: ₦25,000
• Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN): ₦50,000

Kindly note that all members are advised to reset their passwords when visiting the NBA Portal for the first time to avoid sign-in issues.

Please note that mobile app payments are currently on hold and will be enabled shortly.
Payment Deadline
The payment window for the 2026 Bar Practice Fee (BPF) closes on 31st March 2026. Members are advised not to wait until the last day in order to avoid any inconveniences.
