The Lagos State High Court has temporarily blocked Godmade Homes Limited and its owner, Ayoolanrewaju Kuyebi, from taking any action on a contested property in Osborne Foreshore II, Ikoyi. This follows a legal challenge by property buyer Two Aprils Limited.

Justice Rosul Oriyomi Olukolu granted the interim injunctions in an ex parte application filed by AbdulHakeem Adio, counsel to Two Aprils Limited, under Suit No. LD/853CM/2026. The order prevents the developer and its affiliates from selling, transferring, or otherwise interfering with the property until the main case is heard, now scheduled for April 2, 2026.

Court documents show that Two Aprils Limited purchased a 5-bedroom terrace duplex with a 1-bedroom boys’ quarters at Esplanade 6, Iroko Close, Osborne Foreshore II, for N295.5 million, paying N247.26 million upfront. The contract, signed on November 4, 2022, required the property to be delivered by July 31, 2024.

The buyers alleged that Godmade Homes failed to meet the agreed deadline and repeatedly breached other contractual terms. Although the developer issued a Letter of Allocation in May 2024, delivery dates were continually postponed. In February 2026, the developer’s solicitors indicated an intention to resell the property to another buyer and raise the price to N450 million—a move strongly opposed by Two Aprils Limited.

In granting the injunction, Justice Olukolu highlighted the urgency of the case and the risk of the property being transferred to third parties, underscoring the court’s role in safeguarding the rights of the applicant pending the full trial. The matter will continue on April 2, 2026, while the injunction remains in force.
