The 2025 amendments reflect the Association’s commitment to enhancing transparency, accountability, and integrity in its electoral processes. Among the most notable updates are stricter provisions regulating campaign financing, clearer compliance obligations for candidates, and reinforced oversight mechanisms designed to curb excessive spending during NBA elections.
Under the revised framework, electoral expenditure is now subject to more defined regulatory boundaries, with enhanced monitoring responsibilities vested in the appropriate electoral bodies of the Association. The amendments also promote financial transparency and reinforce sanctions for breaches of electoral rules.
In addition to electoral reforms, the amended Constitution consolidates governance procedures, clarifies administrative structures, and updates several provisions to align with evolving institutional realities within the Bar.
