The alleged mother of a child linked to Nigerian singer Davido, Ayo Labinjoh, has responded to comments by his father, Adedeji Adeleke, who described the paternity claims involving his son as unnecessary.

Adeleke had said the results of a deoxyribonucleic acid test indicated that the 12-year-old girl was not Davido’s child. However, in an Instagram post, Labinjoh warned that the Adeleke family could not intimidate or silence her.

Adeleke had made a video following an alleged post by the girl in which she claimed that other students mocked her and urged Davido to conduct a DNA test to establish paternity. In response, Davido said DNA tests had already been carried out and none established that he fathered the child.

Labinjoh said Davido met her in Ibadan, Oyo State, where they had a friendly encounter that resulted in the pregnancy. In her post, she accused the Adeleke family of intimidation, manipulation and abuse of power, while denying that additional DNA tests were conducted in 2020. She also demanded that the original test results be made public. She further warned that any harm to her, her daughter or her mother would be the responsibility of the family.

“As the patriarch of the family you should not be talking on David’s behalf. I’m not Sophia negotiating child support. Let David address me,” she wrote.

“Your power and money is being abused here. David is obviously a boy and not a man. It took money for you to use a family member of ours to spy on us.

“If anything happens to me, my daughter and mom, the police should hold you responsible.”
