A human rights activist and public interest lawyer, Kunle Edun, SAN, has been unanimously elected as Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the Midwest Bar Forum.
The decision was reached during a pivotal meeting of the forum held today at the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Effurun Bar Centre, presided over by Chief Albert Akpomudje, SAN, a Life Bencher and former Chairman of the forum.
The gathering saw robust attendance from chairmen and members of all 14 NBA branches across Edo and Delta States, which constitute the Midwest Bar Forum. Key resolutions emerged from the session, including a formal declaration of unity within the forum. Members resolved to recognize only the current executives of the forum, signaling a renewed commitment to cohesion. The motion, supported without dissent by all branch chairmen, underscores a collective push to strengthen institutional integrity.
