Sets new prices range from N2,000 per sheet
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has ratified resolutions addressing the challenges in stamp production and distribution. The resolutions, which were agreed upon during the meeting between the National Executive Committee and Branch Chairmen and Secretaries on September 9, 2024, were formally approved by the NBA-NEC on November 7, 2024.
According to Henry Barnabas Ehi, the Assistant General Secretary of the NBA, the provision of free stamps and seals to members is no longer feasible due to economic realities. The previous price of Four Thousand Naira (N4,000) per pack of four sheets, which had been in place since 2015, is also unsustainable.
The NBA has now set new prices for stamps and seals: – Two Thousand Naira (N2,000) per sheet (24 stamps) – Four Thousand Naira (N4,000) for two sheets (48 stamps) – Seven Thousand Naira (N7,000) per pack (4 sheets) (96 stamps)
The production of stamps and seals has already commenced, and members who have made payments will receive email notifications once their stamps are delivered to their respective branches.
The NBA-NEC communiqué, which provides further details on these resolutions. The NBA expresses its appreciation for the understanding and cooperation of its members as it works towards a sustainable and efficient stamp production and distribution process.
