The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a man for allegedly killing his neighbor and her son following a dispute over environmental sanitation in Lekki.The incident occurred around 10:50 p.m. on Sunday, September 15. According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the State Command, the suspect reportedly killed Gloria, his neighbor, and her son during an argument regarding cleanliness.
Following the murders, the suspect is said to have placed the victims’ bodies in a large sack, intending to dispose of them. However, the plan was thwarted when concerned neighbors alerted the Elemoro Police Division.
Detectives swiftly responded to the scene, apprehended the suspect, and recovered the bodies. The deceased have been taken to the morgue at Epe General Hospital for autopsy and preservation.The police are continuing their investigation to determine the exact circumstances and method used in the crime.
