Pastor advises youths to shun sexual immorality

The wife of the General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Folashade Olukoya, has called on youths and young adults to embrace righteousness and shun sexual immorality in order to reach the highest level God has destined for them.

Ministering at a special youth programme at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries’ Magodo Youth Church, Region 28, Lagos State, tagged “Taking Possession of the Gate for Your Next Level,” Olukoya emphasised that youths could only achieve lasting greatness through God’s power.

According to a statement released on Monday, she explained that there are no shortcuts to achieving one’s divine greatness, except through God.

She encouraged the daily renewal of one’s mind through God’s word, prayers, and embracing positive thoughts aligned with God’s plans for their lives. She urged the youths to stand boldly against all forms of sin and unrighteousness, which the devil uses to suppress them.

She further admonished them to be mindful of what they consume mentally and physically, and to use their bodies to glorify God.

On his part, the Regional Overseer of MFM Magodo Youth Church, Pastor Kayode Elijah, highlighted the church’s alignment with the vision of the General Overseer in establishing youth churches.

He noted that through various programmes and ministrations, many youths had turned their lives around and given their lives to Christ.

“Youths who used to frequent clubs are now established in the church. Prostitutes have also turned from darkness to light,” he said.

Elijah revealed that the church had played a significant role in rescuing young Nigerians from various societal ills and helping them discover their God-given purpose on earth.

Last month, MFM General Overseer, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, predicted a bright future for Nigeria despite its current challenges, citing the country’s symbolic position on the African map.

“There is a bright future for Nigeria. If you look at the map of Africa, it resembles a gun, with Nigeria positioned where the trigger is held. This is no coincidence — God has a plan for Nigeria. I am a steadfast believer in one Nigeria,” Olukoya said.

The cleric made the statement during an interview to mark MFM’s 35th anniversary, emphasising the need for Nigerians to pray for divine intervention.
