The passing of Dr. Jude Ezegwui is a profound loss for the Nigerian Bar. His sudden departure has left me, and many others, at a loss for words. Dr. Jude was a figure of vitality, always full of life, making his loss even more shocking.
I vividly recall how he made history by hosting the inaugural conference of the NBA’s Eastern Zonal Section of Business Law, a testament to his dedication and passion for the Bar. He had even hinted at his intention to run for General Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association in 2026, a vision that, unfortunately, will never come to pass.
As we mourn Dr. Jude, the memories of his contributions to the Bar remain unforgettable. My thoughts are with the Nigerian Bar Association, Enugu branch, and the Ezegwui family during this time of grief. May the Lord grant you strength and comfort.
