Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (ECNBA) has released the much-anticipated post-election audit reports for the 2024 national elections. The comprehensive 83-page report, prepared by Election Buddy Inc. and INITS Ltd Consortium, the Election Voting Service Provider, along with the report from Digiterhub, the Technical Service Consultant, provides an in-depth analysis of the election process and outcomes.

The reports, now available on the ECNBA’s website under the tag “Final NBA 2024 Election Report,” were independently prepared by the two service providers and contain detailed statistics, analytics, and insights that shed light on the election’s integrity and dispel misconceptions raised by some contestants.

One of the key findings in the reports is the voter turnout statistics by branches. The data reveals that most large member branches experienced a poor turnout of voters, which may explain the misconceptions held by some contestants regarding assumed voting patterns. This insight highlights the importance of considering the actual voter participation when analyzing election results. The reports also include an annexure that showcases the total votes cast hourly throughout the election period. This data effectively debunks the claim made by a losing candidate that the winner’s votes were pre-programmed to increase by approximately 1,000 votes every hour. The annexure clearly shows that there were several hours during which the entire votes cast did not even reach 1,000, disproving the allegation of manipulation.

Furthermore, the reports contain annexures that present cumulative votes cast and vote dispersion per presidential candidate at 10-minute intervals. This granular analysis further dispels any claims of manipulation, as it provides a transparent and auditable trail of the voting process.

Another significant finding is the incremental 10-minute vote count, which includes both the total votes cast and the vote dispersion for each presidential candidate, along with the percentage of incremental additions for each candidate. This data, collected every 10 minutes between 12:00 AM and 11:59 PM, reveals that Mr. Ikwuazom, one of the presidential candidates, was in second position during the early hours of voting before dropping to third place. This refutes his claim of having been placed third throughout the election. The independent audit reports prepared by Election Buddy Inc., INITS Ltd Consortium, and Digiterhub provide a comprehensive and auditable trail of the election process. The detailed analytics and insights offer transparency and clarity, addressing the misconceptions and misinformation circulated by some of the losing candidates.

The ECNBA’s decision to release these detailed audit reports demonstrates its commitment to maintaining the integrity and

credibility of its electoral process.
