An actor, Tayo Amokade, aka Ijebu, has urged estranged couples to consider their children’s best interest when deciding child custody issues.

He told Sunday Scoop, “In my opinion, it’s important to consider the best interests of the children when it comes to custody decisions. It is generally best for both parents to be involved in their children’s lives, unless there are extenuating circumstances that would make it unsafe or harmful for the children. It is always recommended to seek legal advice and mediation to find a fair and mutually beneficial solution. Every situation is unique, so it’s important to consider all factors involved.

“Maintaining a father’s role in his children’s lives is incredibly important. Fathers play a crucial role in their children’s emotional and social development. They provide love, support, guidance, and serve as positive role models. It is important to prioritise the well-being of the children, and foster healthy relationships with both parents, as long as it is safe and in the best interest of the children.

“Open communication and cooperation between parents can help ensure that the children continue to have a strong and loving relationship with their father.”

Speaking on the use of publicity stunts by celebrities to generate attention, the actor said, “Publicity stunts can definitely grab attention. They can be a fun way for celebs to generate buzz and boost their careers. Using publicity stunts can be good for a celebrity’s career if they are done right. But, they can also backfire if they are not genuine, or go too far. It is all about finding the right balance and staying true to oneself.”
