Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Paul Harris Ogbole, was awarded an honorary doctorate degree by Wesley University, Ondo for his exemplary leadership and contributions to humanity.

The respected lawyer and social justice champion received the honor at the university’s convocation ceremony on November 11th, 2023.

In his acceptance speech, Ogbole emphasized the need to support educational institutions to build a just, fair and equitable society. He commended Wesley University’s efforts in imparting quality learning and values on students for Nigeria’s growth and development.

Ogbole is renowned for taking on numerous pro bono cases to defend vulnerable and underprivileged groups throughout his prolific legal career. He is considered a leading voice on issues of human rights, democracy and good governance.

The honorary doctorate degree recognizes Ogbole’s immense contributions to the legal profession, public service and advancement of education in Nigeria. It comes from a university focused on achieving academic excellence and moulding students’ character.
