The Institute of Chartered Business Consultants has inducted new members into its different membership categories.
The induction ceremony was held on Saturday, with 26 new members joining the institute’s ranks as student, graduate, associate and full-time members.
In his opening remarks, ICBC president, Emmanuel Ayele noted that the institute has a rich history of excellence worldwide; therefore, it is the collective duty of all members to uphold and build upon that legacy.
Ayele admonished the new members to be active professionally, as well as in all of the institute’s activities.
Ayele said, “First and foremost, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Governing Council of the institute for their outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment to the vision, mission, and values of our institute.
“Their hard work has paved the way for us to continue advancing our shared vision. I am also particularly thankful to our Induction Committee that worked tirelessly to make this event a dream comes through.
“As the President and ICBC Nigeria representative, I am reminded of the tremendous responsibility that comes with it. The ICBC has a rich history of excellence worldwide, and it is our collective duty to uphold and build upon that legacy.”
Speaking further, Ayele asserted that the current crop of members of the ICBC is entrusted with shaping the future of the institute, ensuring that it remains a beacon of knowledge, innovation, and integrity in the field of Business Consultancy.
In her keynote lecture, a former president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Comfort Eyitayo, said that collaborative and synergistic efforts between consultants and clients are important.
According to her, embracing innovation and staying abreast of emerging technologies and trends is also key to the success of any business consultant.
Some of the eminent personalities who were inducted during this year’s ICBC annual induction included the Managing Director of First City Monument Bank, Yemisi Edun and a former Lagos State Commissioner, Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Lola Akande.
