Centre seeks partnership for capacity building

The Director-General of the Public Service Staff Development Centre, Adekunmilola Adio-Moses, has called for an advanced collaboration on capacity building for the public service by creating awareness of the importance of traffic laws and the integrated inter-modal transport system.

Adio-Moses made this call when the agency paid a courtesy visit to Lagos Traffic Radio 96.1FM, describing it as the most outstanding radio station in Nigeria for excellent service delivery.

In his remarks, the General Manager of Lagos Traffic Radio, Tayo Akanle, appreciated the PSSDC for its commendation based on the station’s achievements and positive impact on listeners.

Akanle noted that the unprecedented achievements recorded by the station were based on consistency in service delivery, which had helped to set a standard for the station among its peers in Nigeria.

Akanle said, “The station’s daily listenership has increased from 800,000 in 2018 to up to 2,000,000 now and has also witnessed tremendous growth on its social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

“The station has added value to the lives of Lagosians positively and will continue to do so by ensuring they spend less time in traffic through the prompt delivery of travel advisories on the roads, waterways, and railways.”

He added that the station had partnered with the Nigeria Railway Corporation for daily updates for train passengers before the establishment of the Lagos Blue Rail.
