The Co-Founder, World Forum for Africa (WOFA) Mr. Abi Ahmed Haruna, has disclosed that the new infrastructure software developed for the continent will help to derisk investment and identify viable projects in countries.
He said this at an event where the framework for proprietary software for labelling and certifying infrastructure/projects was pitched to investors and stakeholders in Cote d’Ivoire.
Haruna expressed optimism that the Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered software will provide the long awaited suitable framework that will label and certify major infrastructure in the continent with the objective of de-risking and having resilient, sustainable projects capable of attracting long-term capital flows and investment. He said the software would go a long way in ensuring environmentally friendly projects that will benefit the continent in the long run.
Haruna said: “The introduction of this propriety software aligns with WOFA’s mandate of making a difference by achieving creative and innovative financing solutions for Africa’s infrastructure transformation.”
Dignitaries at the forum include President of the Africa Development Bank (AfDB), Akinwunmi Adesina, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire, Patrick Achi, Minister of Planning and Development/President, Board of Governors of the African Development Bank Group, Kaba Niale and Africa 50 Chief Executive Officer, Alain Ebobisse.
