A real estate investor based in the United States, Toyin Momodu, has appealed to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, over the release of her property at SunnyField, Oko-Afo community, in the Badagry area of the state.
Momodu purchased 2200 square meters of land in 2012 from the state government and got a Certificate of Occupancy from the Governor’s Office Land Bureau for the property.
She explained that after purchasing the land, hoodlums encroached on it, adding that efforts to seek the state government’s support in reclaiming her property had proved abortive.
Speaking with our correspondent on Sunday, Momodu said her lawyer, M.A Sodipo, petitioned the Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, regarding the development but got no response.
The petition read in part, “We hereby appeal to Your Excellency to use your good office in removing all impediments and stumbling blocks preventing our client from gaining physical possession and we equally implore your Excellency to put her in immediate physical possession.
“We fervently believe that Your Excellency would without delay graciously accede to our humble request while thanking you in anticipation of the very much expected and desired cooperation that would put a smile on the face of our client.”
