Heaps on the importance of adapting to technology
The two days training was organized for registrars of the Enugu State High Court, by Obra Foundation on the utilization of virtual hearings in line with global realities.
The training came to its climax, yesterday, September 10, 2022, with pragmatic demonstration and discourse sessions on the primacy and effectiveness of virtual hearing in the 21st century.
The training had speeches from prominent stakeholders in the Enugu state Justice sector, including the state’s Chief Judge, Hon. Justice A. R. Ozoemena, and the first female Senior Advocate from the South-east, Chief (Mrs.) A. J. Offiah, SAN.
Other speakers and facilitators at the event include the Hon Justices Mathew Eluke and C. O. Ajah Ph.D.
The training also had 12 registrars, drawn from the Enugu State Judiciary, undergo a theoretical and practical examination to test the knowledge acquired in the two-day training; as well as a meet and greet session with Bea Garner, a facilitator from Barcelona, Spain, who earlier during the training stressed on the advancement of technology all over the world and greater adaptability to virtual work culture.
The first day of the training had interactive sessions on ‘life after the pandemic’ facilitated by Mrs. Judith Ezeonu; ‘the value of work’ was facilitated by Mr. Ikechukwu Onuoma.
