An Ibadan based property development and management company and organisers of the Ibadan International Housing and Construction Fair, Next City Estate Limited, has said that the fourth edition of the event would provide the platform for major players in the industry to address the issues of housing deficit in Nigeria.
In a statement signed by the company’s Managing Director, Ola Rotimi-Shodimu, the firm stated that all arrangements were in top gear for the two-day event scheduled for August at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan.
Rotimi-Shodimu said, “The stage is set once again for the annual Ibadan International Housing and Construction Fair which is our selfless contribution to intellectual discourse on solutions to the challenges of housing in Nigeria and seeking practical steps to affordability and sustainability.
“The 2022 edition is a platform for major players, stakeholders and Nigerian citizens to address the issues of the housing deficit in the country with a view to affordability and sustainability.”
He further stressed the importance of housing as a basic necessity of life, hence the decision to focus this year’s event on cutting the housing deficit in the country.
The 4th Ibadan International Housing and Construction Fair is expected to bring together major players in the housing industry, urban and regional planning experts, property developers, managers, estate agents, representatives of regulatory agencies and top government functionaries.The theme of this year’s edition of the event is “Rethinking the National Housing Policy to
bridge the gap between sustainability and affordability.”
