Ekiti CJ, Justice Adeyeye, urges judicial officers to shun corruption

Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Justice John Adeyeye, has vowed to sanction erring and corrupt officers in the state judiciary.

Justice Adeyeye stated this, yesterday, while inaugurating a Customary Court in Ido Ile community in Ekiti West Local Council of the state.

The chief judge, who urged litigants to avoid bribing judges to sway justice, reiterated the determination of the state to establish an incorruptible, fearless and independent judiciary. He commended the people of Ido Ile for providing necessary infrastructure for the take-off of the court.

The CJ also congratulated the Olujudo, Oba Aderemi Obaleye and the people of the community on the achievement and encouraged other communities to take a cue.

Earlier, Oba Obaleye thanked the Chief Judge for approving the establishment of the court, which he said, would served as a relief for him and the palace court.
